Krista Lively Stauffer

Krista Lively Stauffer is a Columbus-based performer, actor, acting coach, teacher, speaker and producer. Growing up in Denver and then Columbus, Krista has been on the stage since age six when she originated the role of “Townsperson 2” in “PIRATES OF PENZANCE”.
Krista attended Otterbein University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. Her professional career started in 2008 in Evolution Theatre’s “The Little Dog Laughed”, which earned her Best Actress in the Columbus Theatre Critics Circle.
During Covid, she began a journey with acting on screen. This has led to talent representation with Heyman Talent, The Talent Group and Wink Talent.
Krista is working toward her Intimacy Coordinator/Choreographer certification for live performance.
She began teaching in 2013 at Columbus Children’s Theatre and found a passion in teaching students from youth to adult. She is thrilled to have coached hundreds of students over the decades.

UPCOMING:
Krista is training with Theatrical Intimacy Educators, as well as numerous local resources including her mentor, Jeanine Thompson, in INTIMACY CHOREOGRAPHY/COORDINATION.

What is this? The position works directly with the production team and actors in creating safe and consented scenes of intimacy on stage and screen. This is a crucial position on all dramatic and theatrical projects to ensure boundaries are being respected by all parties in these moments in production

This is an ongoing learning experience as the industry grows and changes in need. But this is the next step in my trajectory as an actor and director. I look forward to working with theatre, film, and opera companies to ensure their productions look and feel realistic while the actors and team are protected.

While training is still ongoing, please reach out to me for questions and bookings for your production!

WHAT I DIDN’T SAY (The Parkinson’s Play)
”Get a front-row seat to the roller-coaster life of a Parkinson’s patient. Paul, the PD patient, and his wife, Marty, must try to navigate the occasional highs and the crushing lows of a neurodegenerative disease that never relents. Neurologists, therapists, caregivers, and everyone in between will relate to this profoundly honest and compelling story that invites us to ask the hard questions about hope, perseverance, communication, and the staying power of real love. Every performance will be followed by a talkback during which you’re invited to ask questions and express your opinions about the play with the actors, the audience, medical professionals, and Parkinson’s patients.”
