FAQ:

YES (and) this is a safe space to learn and grow as you work with other teen actors to develop your own sense of Improv

Is Improv good for me even if I’ve never tried it?

Improv helps build confidence by reducing fear of failure, lowering social anxiety, and boosting self-esteem. It improves communication through active listening, quick thinking, and a collaborative “yes, and” mindset. It also enhances creativity and mental flexibility, encouraging playfulness and innovative thinking.

Additionally, improv strengthens teamwork, empathy, and professional skills while reducing stress and promoting mindfulness. It’s useful for not only actors, but also in the professional world for ones looking to improve confidence, communication, and adaptability.

What does improv help? I’m not interested in being on SNL or Second City…

Nope. It’s the summer. You may be on vacation or in a show or just chilling by the pool. Come when you can, drop in when you can. We will reiterate the basics of Improv at the start, but immediately dive into games, making this a fully educational and collaborative fun space. Each session will be different but begin with the basics.

Do I have to be at every session?
